Stepping Stones of Bhadra 2020-22.

Literary fest related to college arts began today.  I had participated in the Malayalam essay writing. The topic was interested. "Challenges and limitations of teaching in corona time ".Then we have different practices for art fest. Also have a small holy celebration at the end of the day. 

25/3/2021 Thursday Day started with prayer. First hour was taken by Dr. Maya ma'am. Seminar presentation continued by English optional class. In between presentation ma'am shared her thoughts on women's position in ancient times. Ma'am said that ancient times women's had given been a status of goddess. This topic became a debate. Subhash, Br. Albin, Fatima, and Gayatri expressed their valuable points.  Second hour was optional class. After lunch break, the class was taken by Joju sir. We, Natural science continued our seminar.  Next hour was taken by Dr. Maya ma'am. English optional continued their seminar on 'The Characteristics of Indian Society'. In the last hour principal sir and other faculty members came and divide us into 4 groups for the coming arts day. I belong to group 2. Next  10 minutes spent for discussing about arts. We stepped out the college at 4 PM. 

Nisarga started its journey.  Around 10:00 am, our offical program was started.  Aleena welcomed our guests, all teaching, non teaching staffs and students.  After that one of our chief guest, Dr. Rajan Varghese sir inaugurated our union 'NISARGA' and given a speech.  Kumari Nayana inaugurate our arts program. A amazing treat was given by Nayana. She invited our union members and teachers to performaned with her. Really a wonderful moment. Each of our teachers performed amazingly. Our informal arts session started with a prayer dance. After that our offical college band, 'Thelaya' performance helded (akkabala). At the end of our morning session, seniors gave a dance performance for us. Between these sessions, our former seniors gave the Laji Sir Memorial Trophics to College, and they shared their experience with us. At that moment, we remembered our beloved Laji Sir.  In the afternoon session, we had our dubbing scene competition and music band performance.

18/3/2021 Thursday The day began with a prayer in thechapel. Last day of our senior's commission. We have no classes until 1:00 pm like yesterday, but we have to attend class. After lunch, Joju Sir took the class. Sir Class started by sharing the impact of audio visual aids. He showed three videos. Three videos are short and heart touching.  After that our technology seminar started. The seminar was started by our Natural Science Optional. Parvathy and Shruti took up the 'merits and demerits of e-learning'. Joju Sir wind up the class by discussing the merits and demerits of social media.

New day began with a prayer in the college chapel. Today our seniors had their commission. Shiney teacher assigned some time manging work to some of us.  All our seniors put forward their best.  After lunch, Maya ma'am took the next two hours for general motivational class on Self Confidence and Self Esteem. Fathima shared her experience. That maked us feel sad. Her experience was really heart touching. I can't imagine such a situation.  Last hour was taken by Jiby ma'am. Ma'am conducted an activity to combine pair of words. We really enjoyed the activity.

15/3/2021 Monday It was a nice Monday.The first hour was taken by Giby ma'am. Ma'am started the class by revising the last days portions. Then ma'am has teached the remaining characteristics of personality. She said that we should channelize our mind when fear, sorrows, stress came to our life.  Ma'am said  Carl Rogers once said that, we need atleast six people in our life to contact immediately. We must try be a good listener. Ma'am introduced a technique used in foreign countries "um um therapy". The second and third hours utilized for sharing our school induction programme experience . And we are asked to sit according to the schools we had visited and we sat according to the schools visited.  Then we had shared the experiences as  from each group one  representative came forward.  Then at the fourth hour, the union oath taking ceremony was held in the auditorium.  After the afternoon section, we had a class arranged  by the women cell.  12/3/2021 Friday A different and special day. Maya ma'am and Joju sir took initiative to begin communicative English practice. Lack of fluency in English language is problem to most of the students. I consider it as a opportunity to improve our English speaking. Also they projected a video of a professor from Osmania university.  Afternoon was special with arts and crafts period. We have a new ma'am  Lakshmi ma'am. She divided us into six groups and gave necessary instructions. Also the day nourished with songs of singers from hour batch. 

10/3/2021 Wednesday Second day of school induction program. Reached Pattom St. Mary's at 9: 30 am. We visited principal of the school Father. John. CC. He gave us idea about who is a teacher. We take a photo with him and he gave us permission to observe the school.   Then we observed the school surroundings and collected details about school.  It is a large educational institution with approximately 12500 students and about ,400 teachers. Unfortunately we cannot observe museum and theater because of some shootings programs. School is facilitated with labs on different subjects, tennis court, basketball court, auditorium, canteen, computer center, toilets cooperative society, noon meal area etc. Also took a photo with dear sister. Claire John( biology teacher). At 3: 30 we visited  school principle and thanked him for his coorporation.  

Again to school. Today we had school induction program at St. Mary's higher secondary school, Pattom.we, the group of fourteen assembled in front of the school at 9: 30am. Brother Albin was our leader.After visiting principal and headmaster we observed school surroundings and its infrastructure. To know about the history of school collected a school magazine. After having a tea, visited respective subject teachers. Biology teacher is Sister. Claire John, an amazing teacher. Twenty minutes spent with her was really worthy. She convinced us- how to be a dedicated teacher? She explained why teaching is considered as divine profession. Then we again met the principle and leaved the school at 3: 30.
